We all have loved the villainous role of Rana Daggubati aka Bhalla Dev in the masterpiece Bahubali. He was later seen in Ghazi Attack which did well at the Box Office. Now he is working on his next project. It is going to be Trilingual project i.e. in Hindi, Telugu, and Tamil and it will be the remake of Rajesh Khanna’s (Kaka) Haathi Mere Saathi. This movie was released in 1971 and had Rajesh Khanna and Tanuja in lead.
Rana Daggubati will be playing the role of Rajesh Khanna and the movie will be directed by famous Tamil movie maker Prabhu Solomon and it will be his debut in the Bollywood Film Industry. This movie will be based on real events and the movie will start its shooting in the month of January in Thailand. The movie is expected to release on Diwali 2018.
When a reporter asked Rana Daggubati about this role he says “There’s a very exciting physical language to the character I’m playing in Haathi Mere Saathi and is completely different from what I’ve done in the past. I’ve always wanted to be a part of the content that can travel across the country. It’s a rare story about the relevance of nature in our lives, narrated through a wonderful relationship between man and elephant. Prabhu Solomon’s passion for nature and elephants makes him the finest craftsman in the country who can handle a story like this,”
Prabhu Solomon whose famous project in Tamil is Mynaa followed by Kumki and Kayal. This movie shows his love towards nature and Elephants are one of his favorite subjects. When a reporter of Mumbai Mirror asked him about this he says “They are intelligent and magnificent creatures that humans can take a cue from when it comes to living, thinking, and love. It will be quite exciting for me to shoot the film simultaneously in multiple languages for the first time,”
