Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt have made their fans go crazy with their chemistry in Student of the year, Humpty Sharma ki dulhania and Badrinath ki dulhania. But this time these two are paired up for a clean city initiative commercial ad but not for a movie. However, earlier in June, there was a report that Varun and Alia are being paired up for Abhishek Varman’s romance-drama Shiddat.
This time they are paired up for an Adar Poonawalla clean city initiative under dharma production banner directed by Punit Malhotra. Adar Ponnawalla is the CEO of the serum institute of India. It is the world’s largest producer of vaccine by a number of doses.
Earlier in interview with Adar Ponnawalla explaining his clean city initiative he said, “I am a proud Indian but my pride takes a hit when I look at our streets and roads compared to those of other more developed nations and so instead of criticizing any government from the sidelines I decided to pledge 100 crores to pick up and manage our waste and garbage in the city of Pune. The waste and garbage not only is damaging our health and environment but its an embarrassment to foreigners and visitors who visit India. Today we have 170 trucks/ machines and 300 permanent employees for managing this activity covering more than 400 km of roads in Pune.”
